Hello - today's blog from me is a step by step tutorial for creating this funky cover for my handmade 6x6 inch journal.
Supplies:
Pearlywinks Hint of Gold Sprays in Green Apple, Elegant Teal, Purple Rain and Mandarin Orange
Pearlywinks Texturing Pastes in Iris Purple and Pistachio Green
IndigoBlu Bee Stamp, Versafine Black Ink Pad, Posca Pen in Black, Flower Stencil, Blank 6x6 Journal (My Own)
First I added the Pistachio Green and Iris Purple texturing Paste through a floral stencil onto my cover, wiping the excess off in some kitchen roll with a cloth (creating a second background for another project).
I've then spritzed over the board with the four sprays starting with the Elegant Teal at the bottom, then Green Apple, Mandarin Orange in the middle and Purple Rain at the top. I've dried with a heat gun (because I am impatient)
I've then edged round the raised embossed flowers and stems with a black Posca pen just to make them stand out more against the background.
Next, I've stamped some tiny bees buzzing round the flowers.
And finally I've sprayed the back cover with the matching spray colours and ring-bound my journal.
